Chapter 1: Verse 1: The Journey Begins Report
General Summary
Our adventure begins with 8 vastly different individuals waiting in a line to be introduced inside the mansion of swordlord Jamanadi Aldori. The swordlord opened a call to notable heroes and would-be adventurers throughout the southern reaches of Brevoy. This call reached the ears of many mercenaries and would-be heroes but also drawn attention from Jamandi's enemies, including those who oppose her attempt to annex the Stolen Lands. At the gathering of these mercenaries and adventurers, a small group finds themselves waiting in line to be allowed into the mansion's Great Hall. Amongst this group were a set of Fetchling twins Ejil Everwinter and Ejaya Everwinter who were bickering on the correct pronunciation of the word "water". Bewildered by the constant banter and possibly slightly annoyed was whisper elf Shia'has as she was confused as to why the word water needed a debate. Joining in on the help of the pronunciation was mystical kitsune Kellan who was trying to help but found it not helping too much as her own accent was adding fuel to the conversational preverbal fire. Laughing and finding the whole conversation rather dumb was gnoll Rox, finding the discourse amusing instead of intriguing. Not everyone was fully focused on the water conversation as a quiet conversation was being had between fleshwarp known as Octavian and a leshy named Inky. The only one not fully involved in anything except getting ready for a coming rain story by soaping his dry ratfolk body with soap is Klass as he sat upon his rigidly cart full of strange baubles and doohickies.
Just as the rain was beginning to start, the last of the guests were called in and thus our party entered the mansion. Being lead into a wonderful dining hall, the group of strangers found a table where they continued to get to know each other as well as other potential allies or enemies. Amongst them was a barbarian named Amiri who took a quick liking to Shia'has. Another individual they met was a bard named Linzi who sought to chronicle one of these mercenaries or adventurers as a "Hero of the Stolen Lands" and hoped to follow their adventure. An adversary, if you will, also made themselves known to the group by the name of Tartucio who was quickly put into his place by the party, especially Ejil. The party began to bond over their despise for Tartucio.
The dinner concluded and the Lady Jamandi informed that there would be more to discuss in the next day about her plans for the Stolen Lands and how one group would be able to claim the Stolen Lands as their own kingdom to rule and govern. She released her guests for the evening and prepared bedchambers for everyone who was in need as tomorrow they would discuss charters and plans for each group and individual plus more details on the whole commission.
The party rooming together or at least near each other, took to their spots for the evening.
