Precipice Quarter
The Precipice is a poor and broken district, much akin to The Puddles. The district was shorn in half during the earthquake. The half that didn't fall into the Harbour has descended into a lawless neighbourhood, full of gangs and the poor/destitute. What separates it from The Puddles is that it's become a hot spot for adventurers seeking fame and fortune in the sunken ruins. Added to the mix is constant promises from those with political ambitions to repair the district to it's former glory; with no history of success.
Demographics
Very mixed.
Government
The District is technically controlled by the Grand Council directly but little is done by them. Gangs and organisations, such as the Pathfinders or Churches, have more practical authority.
Defences
Assets
Treasure and crime
History
This district has a similar history to The Puddles. It was damaged during the same earthquake of 4698, but unlike The Puddles, this district was on a large hill overlooking the Harbor. The result was a massive land slide, taking many of the buildings with it, including The Tower of the Horn. After the disaster all of the surviving households with any wealth fled the district for safety.
Of the two districts effected by the disaster, The Precipice got more attention from the powerful citizens of Absalom. At the same time it has been plagued with far more serious problems, strange magical mishaps and ghostly apparitions. These events have prevented any real progress at securing and rebuilding the district, while also sapping much of the funds for reconstruction away from The Puddles.
