Suljik

Suljik, a member of an Osirian order of druids charged with purging the world of aberrations, crossed the Osirian desert in search of a man they called Jubair the Betrayer, a fellow druid who murdered the Arch Druid of the order. Through the unforgiving sands, Suljik managed to follow Jubair's but discovered too late that he had been set up. Jubair ambushed him with several bandits and left him for dead. Suljik was able to drag himself to a nearby church of Sarenrae. The Dawnflower came to him and showed him a vision of an ocean. When he recovered, Suljik made his way to Sandpoint. There, he crossed paths with Jubair and his cronies. Suljik was able to kill Jubair, but the betrayer's cohorts were overwhelming and would have killed him had Sheriff Casp Avertin not saved him. Suljik owed the Sheriff a debt of gratitude, but when Chopper killed him Suljik could not repay the debt he owed. Instead, he repaid it to the woman the Sheriff would have married – Kendra Deverin. Since then, he has had a vision that the mayor was killed shortly after picking up a terrible facial scar. The Mayor sends him on tasks because he makes her a bit nervous. He is a killer, and she is not entirely sure he is completely sane. Suljik was slain, fulfilling his oath to protect Kendra.
