Imaginarium

The Imaginarium is a magical vardo owned and operated by Bertox Xulous. It is self-propelled, but Bertox may use various illusions to give the appearance of the Imaginarium being pulled by exotic mounts.

The Imaginarium: Theme and Layout

  • Theme: The shop is housed in a colorful gypsy Romani wagon, adorned with bright paints and mystical symbols. The theme is a blend of mysticism and whimsy, with a hint of steampunk.
  • Layout: The interior is surprisingly spacious thanks to a magical enlargement spell. It features several sections: a display area for common magical items, a locked cabinet for rarer goods, a cozy corner for negotiations, and a hidden back room for the most exotic and dangerous items.

Security Measures

  • Anti-Theft Measures: The Imaginarium is protected by various magical wards and enchantments. An anti-magic field surrounds the rarer items, and illusion spells confuse would-be thieves. Additionally, Gunnbjorn keeps a vigilant watch.
  • Secrets: A hidden compartment beneath the wagon stores the most valuable items. Only Bertox knows how to access it.

Payment Methods

  • Bertox accepts various forms of payment: gold, gems, trade in magical items, and even favors or information, especially if it leads to rare artifacts.

History of the Imaginarium

  • Origins: The wagon has been in Bertox’s family for generations, passed down along with tales of adventure and magic. It was originally a simple merchant's wagon until an ancestor imbued it with magic.
  • Reputation: Over the years, the Imaginarium has become a legend among magic item collectors and adventurers, known for its elusive appearances and the eccentric, knowledgeable Bertox.
