Dragonborn

The reclusive dragonborn are the result of the mingling of draconic bloodlines with mortal ones. A single draconic ancestor has blood potent enough to color all of its decendants, and such families, while rare, are usually quite powerful and tight-knit. Dragons responsible for such families may either leave them be, whether through ignorance of their existence or a lack of interest, or assume the role of a familial head to further their own ends. Unlike on other worlds, dragonborn on Godweave have varying levels of draconic features depending on their distance genetically from their draconic ancestor - ranging from the full scales and draconic features of dragonborn on other worlds to visually indistinguishable from whatever race they mingle with. You decide what other race your dragonborn looks like (if any) without affecting your game statistics. A typical dragonborn family will use the less draconic scions as intermediaries between the family and outsiders, hiding their draconic lineage sometimes entirely. These are the dragonborn that tend to be adventurers, as the more draconic scions tend to serve a more administrative and authoritarian role in the family. Consider your draconic lineage when creating your character - is your character normal for your family, sent out to further some goal, or are they an exile? Does your character's family serve their draconic ancestor still, or are they independent?
Alignment: Dragonborn of families with draconic family heads tend to embrace their patron's alignment, and thus tend to the extremes of good or evil. Dragonborn of independent families tend to be reclusive, perferring neutrality. Exiles from families typically break their family's typical alignment.
Deities: Dragonborn families typically devote themself to a single deity. In the case of families ruled by evil dragons, the worship of Tiamat is common, with the Twelve Gods being the norm for families ruled by good dragons. Independent dragonborn families could serve potentially any god, though usually not gods of good or evil, as suits their neutrality.
Homeland: Dragonborn families of chromatic lineage are typically found on the Western Continent, due to the relative commonality of chromatic dragons there. Dragonborn families of metallic lineage are typically found in the Eastern Lands, due to the commonality of metallic dragons there. Dragonborn families of gem dragon lineage are typically found in the Northern Realms, due to the commonality of gem dragons there.
