The Exalted established their capital city, Aurorum, from which they rapidly expanded their influence. Their religious zealotry and elite fighting force known as The Empty made them seemingly unstoppable.

As the Exalted grew in power, neighboring regions that had enjoyed relative safety began to fortify themselves against the threat of expansion. The Exalted’s ambitions posed a significant threat to newly formed and old kingdoms alike.
