Emilee, after fleeing into a cave during a raid on her village, becomes secretly empowered by the Harbinger Olgos. With that power, she unites her village to fend off warring, roving raiders and becomes a de facto leader of her people at just the age of 14, establishing her seat of power in the city of Labrilen, in the province known as Yeoria.
The tale of Emilee begins with tragedy and transformation, rooted in the chaos of a brutal war that tore her life apart. When her village was attacked by a war party, her father, Artur, was killed, and her mother, Emilia, was taken captive. In a desperate attempt to flee, her parents instructed her to run to safety. Emilee, then just a young Maian girl, fled into the nearby woods and soon found herself falling into a sinkhole that led to a dark and mysterious cave.
As Emilee wandered through the darkened cave, she stumbled upon a chilling sight: a grotesque creature entombed within the cave wall. This was Olgos, a Harbinger imprisoned long ago by Zun-1. Though trapped, Olgos retained access to immense power. Seeing Emilee's plight and sensing her vulnerability, Olgos made her an offer. He promised her unfathomable power, power that would enable her to protect herself and exact revenge on those who wronged her. However, in exchange for this power, Emilee had to agree that she would one day have a single child—a son—and bring him to Olgos.
Emilee, feeling powerless and desperate after witnessing the horrors inflicted on her family and village, saw no downside to the agreement. She was too young to understand the full implications of the deal and agreed to Olgos's terms without hesitation. The dark Harbinger, though harboring plans for his eventual escape and conquest of Alathor, did not reveal his true intentions to Emilee. He presented the deal as a straightforward exchange: power for the promise of her future son.
With the unimaginable power bestowed upon her by Olgos, Emilee returned to her village, where she soon became known as a savior. Her newfound strength allowed her to defend her people from invaders, beginning with the war party that had captured her mother. In an act of terrifying retribution, Emilee destroyed them with her powers. This marked the beginning of her rise to prominence. Her village flourished under her leadership, expanding into a city-state that eventually became the kingdom of Labrilen, the heart of the future Yeorian Empire.
