Zanokar City

The capital of Zanokar, is a port city, a trading centre, and the home of many noble families, either those who hold lands elsewhere in Zanokar tend to have a well stocked large townhouse or manor within the city or nearby. The city is wealthy beyond measure, but culturally insularity, majority of the population of the city are humans of Zanokar descendant from the nobles down to the serfs. Very few other species are seen on the streets other than the sailors in the Dock Ward.   It is the politcal and enonomical centre of Zanokar, King Holdred Hellhand holds court at the Golden Citadel in the centre of the town, watching over the docks, and stands high against the skyline as you approach the city from any direction. The City as the largest free market outside of the Crane Imperium, and many traders from across Zanokar and Godai at large travel to trade there, including dwarves from the east, the nomads from across the mountains to the south and peoples from the other kingdoms. Trading for the mounts that Zanokar are famous for both Reptile and Moorbounder a like.

Government

Absolute Monarchy, the king in the city is the law, judge and as the final say in anything. He as a small council made up of loyal members of his court that take day to day matters into their hand to give the King more chance to deal with the important items or to do his kIngly duties.

Defences

35 ft Stone City Wall surrounding the core inner city, (the city as expand past these walls now), but they still well maintained and strong, with towers and defensives built along the walls, each gate as both strong reinforced wooden gates, and a metal portcullis behind them. Anyone trying to take the inner city would have a battle on their hands.

Industry & Trade

Exports, Riding beasts (Reptiles and Moorbounders), Wood from the Fae Forests, and finish products in wood, leather and grain. Imports, Mostly High Quality metal items, as while Zanokar as access to metals they difficult to transport to the settlements along the costs from deep inland.

Infrastructure

The city is the most advance city outside of the IMperium, having both a sewer system (built on old tunnels that run underneath the city), shipyards, and docks.

Guilds and Factions

Thieves Guild, Pretty much run the shades, everyone avoids the area unless invited, Nobles pay a small fee to the Guild yearly so not to be robbed and taken for everything that can be carried.
City Watch, Law Enforcement, mainly to keep murder and violence off the streets.
Highguard Mages Guild, One of the few places in Zanokar that train Mages to their full potential, be their be wizards or sorcerers both are welcome if they can past the entrance exam. No one sure what happens to the failures, they don't come back out.
