Sunsu

The imperial city, the city of the skies, Sunsu is the heart of the Crane Imperium, its capital, the home of the Imperial Family and many Noble houses. But it wasn't always the striking city it is now.

Early History

Sunsu was one of the earliest civilisations on Godai, a fishing town on the southern cost of Mikazu, before the dawn wars, before the titans came to punish the divine for theft of energy from the elemental planes, before the elves made deals with the Fae creatures of the Shadow and Light Courts, it was just the start of what would one day become in all likelyhood a powerful kingdom on Mikuza, but it all changed, the Elemental Powers of the Planes came for payment and revenge. The Master Gate of Air opened near Sunsu, there didn't appear to be any direct reason for this but the same can said for the other Master Gates across the world, some opened in or near towns others in the wild areas of the world.
The gate opening forever changed Sunsu, the elemental forces ripped the lands along the coast for miles around away from the earth and sea, and into the air creating a series of floating islands of lands. This destroy the majority of the town of Sunsu, ripping parts hundreds of feat in the air and killing majority of the human population that there was. The Tengu that came with the elemental forces of air, used the surviving buildings as bases of operations to push outwards and give them a singlar impentiable fortress as majority of the divine forces had no way to climb hundreds of feet into the air to the islands that made up the new army encampment.

After the War

When the Titans and their forces had forced the divine forces to surrender the Tengu that decided to stay on the physical plane, took the lands around the islands as their domain and form a new civilization out of the ashes of the old. The Great General of the Tengu took a new title that of the Emperor of the Crane Dynasty, and forever changed the political landscape of the world that Godai became. Not only did he welcome Tengu and others of the Elemental Forces to settle under his rule, but those of the defeat forces that survived, and helped them rebuild their lives and show them the truth behind the Divine and the Elements.
