Kuki Ryokan

The Kuki Ryokan is one of the best Inn's in Sunsu, run by Kotaro Family for the last half a dozen generations. It is on one of the small floating islands and is the only big building on the island, there are some smaller homes and buildings on the island as well. But all are own by the Kotaro family and rented to the workers of the Inn, and the business's are supporting systems for the inn, (blacksmiths, farriers, stabling, and city guides).

The Hotel itself is a 3 floor dark stone building, with a slate roof, the ground floor hosts multiple dining rooms, reception rooms and offices for employees and rooms to hire for the customers. While the other 2 public floors are bedrooms and additional meeting rooms to hire by the public. The building itself is set in some well looked after gardens for the guests to enjoy along with the employees of the Inn.

There is also 2 basements levels used by the Ka'lessi for business and safe houses, these rooms are as well maintained as the Inn above, by members of the Ka'lessi families that work at the Inn, who failed the tests to join the Ka'lessi as full members, either as prospects in the schooling, or as trainees as teenagers

History

The land the Inn is built on was once the estate of a Noble house who fell out of favour with the court, and ran out of money and support with failed trading fleets. The Head of Family commited sucide and the family had to sell the family home to try and recover, the lands were brought by Ka'lessi via a broker, and the family of Kotaro where given job of creating a business to hide both a place for the Ka'lessi to do business and a safehouse for those needing to hide for a while. The obvious choice was an Inn, to allow lots of people to come and go with no questions asked. Since those days the inn as grown in repetution and status across the Imperium. Many traders from across the global started to use it as a base when in Sunsu as a good place to do business with the nobles and upper classes of traders from the city.

Ka'lessi Base

Nearly all Ka'lessi business is based out of the basements of the Inn, from dealing with the noble families and traders above in the Inn, to assigning members areas of the city to do business from picking pocketing to shoplifting to breaking and entance on houses of the Nobles and upper crust of the civilisation.
