Character Generation in Godai

So if you here, you either interested in how I run Character Generation as part of Session 0, or you one of my new players or you just nosy. Well welcome whatever. So first off make sure if you creating a character you read Introduction to Godai, which gives you core information about the world, races and civilisations, along with information on how magic works in Godai and some ideas over classes, if I not mention a classes or sub class don't assume its not avaiable, talk to me about it and we see if we can work it in for you :). But here is the info you need to create your character in Godai, This isn't standard DND rules in multiple places so please be aware of that.  
Stat's, Ancestorial, Culture and Background Bonuses
  So stage one is roll up your stats characters to do this you need to roll 4d6 (re-roll any 1's) and take the 3 highest and add them together to give you a total between 6 - 18. These are your numbers for your characters stats.   Next up you need to decide your species and culture. So for Godai rather than having a fix species build you choose 2 separate things first being you Ancestral Traits which are based on a particular species and then you choose you Cultural background, which could be your species one (only avaiable to the particular species) or one for a particular kingdom within Godai (avaiable to any ancestorial background unless notifed in the cultural document). Take a look at the Introduction Document gives you access to all of these.   Then once you chosen these you need to choose a background and see how the elements effect you as a born, by checking the charts at Born of the Elements  
Class
  Once you know you past, you can worry about your future, and choose what class you want to be, by looking over at Classes of Godai you can see allowed classes and subclasses, so you know where you might be able to go if you survive and live long enough to do so.   If you a cleric, paladin or warlock at this point you need to talk to GM and decide on your Elemental Titan, God (very risky) or Patreon.  
Equipment
  You can choose to take the starting equipment that you get for your class or take the gold and buy what you want.  
Alignment and Story Background
  Everyones Alignment starts as True Netural by default, and your actions in game will determining where you character sits in the world, if you background really points towards a particular an Alignment the DM may choose for you to start as that alignment, but if your character doesn't follow the alignment their will quickly head towards were they actually are.   Backgrounds, I don't want pages of background, unless you want to, I ask for a paragraph to give me some understanding of your character, but if once we start playing and you want to adjust parts of it thats fine.
