Hobs
Hobs is a term applied to all goblins who live in urban communities be they dwarven holds or Nautican ports. There has never been any great goblin nation state, but they have always been found wherever they'll fit within any sufficiently dense city. In fact most societies find goblins essential for maintaining infrastructure that has been made inaccessible to larger frames. These Hob communities form dense warrens from which urban carpenters, engineers, teamsters, and tar layers are drawn, usually not as single goblins but whole neighborhood gangs formed into uncertified guilds.

Culture
Shared customary codes and values
Ribbing the Mates- Hobs will sling verbal abuse at their friends and comrades on a near constant basis, but this is a privilege reversed only for one's friends. Should an outsider join in they will harshly rebuffed or assaulted.
Yeah it'll fit- Hobs have no sense of claustrophobia and will take over any unclaimed space no matter how small within a building or cave to inhabit or use as storage.
We're all lads- Goblins are not very sexually dimorphic, most secondary characteristics are only visible in women shortly after giving birth. As a result of this and cramped urban conditions most goblin gender norms have disolved, and it is common for Hobs to refer to all goblins of any gender as boys, lads, or comrades.
Average technological level
Hobs' spontaneity and fascination with mechanics make them excellent inventors and prototypers, but not particularly good refiners or testers. As a result most mechanical and architectural innovation starts with and goblin invention followed by years or decades of other groups working to make the invention safer and more consistent.
Foods & Cuisine
All goblins are energetic but city life brings that to the fore front of Hob personalities. Structured society gives them goals to concentrate on but also carries a risk of boredom. Most Hobs if they were a non-goblin race would be diagnosed with an attention deficit disorder, but among goblins this is considered normal. As a result most Hobs develop a dependence on stimulants to maintain concentration when interacting with the outside community, most commonly caffiene or qat. Caffeine is consumed in coffees and teas, while qat is a leaf that is chewed throughout the day.
