Dwarves

Short, stocky, and robust dwarves are perhaps the kin least open to change. The primary dwarven drive is toward preservation and reinforcement. Most dwarves will work away happily on a single task for years or even decades with only minimal social interaction, so long as that task is in service of maintaining the good. Though this also manifests in the inverse. A dwarf will pursue a single slight or irregularity for decades or even centuries attempting to correct it.
The great dwarven empire of the north Khazad has fallen to a plague of eyeless monsters known as Kingsmen. They now live on as refugees in the south.
