Esper Cat

Esper Cats are mythical beings thought to guard and Shepard the dead to the wheel of life. Not everyone believes in them but most burial traditions still include the right of leaving an offering for a cat. These offerings are typically things like milk and meat or even coins and incense depending on the location.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Esper cats are ghostly spiritual beings that are said to be made of pure energy. According to those who claim to have seen one, their forms flicker and fade but resemble a cat at all times. What type of cat seems to depend on the person witnessing them as they have been reported as large wild cats or your standard house cat. The one thing that never changes are their blue, green and yellow multicolored eyes.

Ecology and Habitats

The Esper Cat's home is the celestial plane of existence, the realm of the gods and other mythical beings. As such nothing is known about their ideal habitats.

Behaviour

Esper cats are benevolent spirits who are tasked with guiding spirits from death until their rebirth at the wheel of life. They are considered to be near godly in their knowledge and abilites and they are, in some areas, worshiped as gods themselves.   They are also said to appear and inform those on the brink of death for whom it is not time yet that they have a purpose and to guide them towards discovering that purpose before they recover. In addition they appear to those whose faith is wavering or who are grieving a harsh loss and offer comfort and healing.

Additional Information
