The official holy symbol for Verna is the bagpipes with crossed swords above, but owls have come to symbolize Verna's influence in the world. When spotting an owl, it isn't uncommon to pluck a hair and let it fall in hopes Verna looks for someone else that night.
Tenets of Faith
Few prayers and services are held to Verna directly in church services. It is in times of great need or danger that prayers are held to Verna to turn away storms and provide respite. Verna’s most common prayers (and toasts) come from risk takers and gamblers. There is often a small shrine to Verna in every bar and gambling hall. The desperate will cut off some (or all) of their hair and burn it on her altar. It is said that when one is tempted to do something risky, dangerous, or wrong that it is they are hearing the Whispers of Verna.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Verna has the most reclusive clerics. Some of her clerics keep their divine role secret within their community. Other clerics are wanderers that take many different guises and names. One thing is certain, the presence of a cleric of Verna is often the cause of upheaval.
