The New Divinity

Unlike the gods in the past, the New Divinity has one religion, one church, and only holy text.
There are small altars to each of the god in the churches, and each god is called upon in different types of services.
In a single day, Jehan may be called upon for a good harvest, Knout called upon to bless a marriage, and McGrunk for the healing of someone that is ill.
Services tend to be musical affairs. There will often be one or more bagpipe players providing song. Larger churches communities will have entire choirs and small bands.
Clerics do serve particular gods in the New Divinity, but clerics of any of the gods can be found leading churches and services.
While there is no tension within the church, there is tension between the followers of the New Divinity and those that continue to worship the dead gods. These traditionalists consider the followers of these new gods traitors to their ancestors, and there are followers of the New Divinity that consider those that worship dead gods fools or heretics.
The church's official position about the worship of the dead gods is one of tolerance.
