Sumer
Sumer, the god of summer on Dismas, embodies the fleeting warmth and light of the season. The golden glow radiating softly, illuminating the lingering twilight of the island's short summer days. Their presence was like a gentle awakening from a long, frigid slumber. When they stirred, the land responds with an almost reverent eagerness, as if knowing the god's blessing is short lived.
Under Sumer's influence, snow melts in soft patches, revealing hardy, colorful blooms that have been waiting patiently beneath the frost. The rivers, frozen for much of the year, begin to trickle and flow, their waters sparkling as they catch the sun’s gentle light. Even the air changes—warming slightly and carrying the faint scent of earth and budding life. Animals emerge from hidden dens and hibernations, drawn by the subtle rise in temperature and the promise of nourishment, however brief. Sumer’s influence is a reminder of life’s resilience and the island’s ability to flourish, if only for a while.
Tenets of Faith
It is thought that Sumer died with the other gods of Gidoire.
