Gi Tis Synkomidís Sidírou

Scope

The motivation behind building Gi Tis Synkomidís Sidírou

I wanted something to put my creativity into, something fun, and something I can be proud of.

The goal of the project

I hope that people enjoy whatever I write, that it makes them excited, like a lot of the things I watch and read; I want to give people that spark, and a giggle in their throat as they read whatever I come up with.

Gi Tis Synkomidís Sidírou's Unique Selling point

Honestly, my main concept, or hook, is that it's someplace I'd like to live, even with all the bad stuff. It allows me to create things I wish existed, or imagine myself in a place that I cannot go.

Theme

Genre

My world is a wild mix, with touches of fantasy, 1940s, 1950s, and 1800s, and even scifi (though that is minimal), with a touch of diesel punk, using all the mechs and what not.

Reader Experience

I want my world to be somewhat lifelike, even with different species, and strangeness. I want people to feel connected and think of my characters as beings.

Reader Tone

My world is somewhere in the middle. Dark at times, but lighthearted and fun in others.

Recurring Themes

1: Old style tech: Bolt action rifles, massive brick phones, old cars 2: Mechs: Something akin to Iron Harvest style. 3: Lightheartedness: Drinking with friends, having a stroll through the city, or walking through the plains 4: Gritty: War, combat, and the horrors of it.

Focus

Culture: I want to focus on building the culture of the people in the world, so people can look at it and say. "Oh, that's interesting."
Wartime tech: I want to expand on the military tech of my world, all of the mechs, rifles, airships, planes, naval ships, and so on. I want people who are into both the military and mechanical side to enjoy reading about the stats, and details, while people who want a cool weapon can enjoy the look.
Government: A lot of the governments in my world are mixes of real world governments, and my own twist. I find it enjoyable to think about how someone would run a country, and how it would end up.

Drama

2,500 years ago, the world population went from 35 billion, to almost nothing after a long war, which included many of the deities perishing.
The largest country continues to try and spread out, though without the help of their deity. Using their massive military, and their puppet, they search the 'Godless Lands' for anything that can give them an upper hand.
A strange swirling portal opened up in the jungles of the south, releasing fantasy monsters into the world, which gives everyone an enemy to fight
