Lazzero Varona deserves to be king, at least in his eyes. Born to Francesco and Camilla Varona, Lazzero enjoyed an extravagant childhood full of food, parties, and anything he could've ever asked for. At a young age, he discovered a gift for divine magic. However, this ability drew the attention of forces beyond this world that would soon shape not only Lazzero's life, but the entire world's.

Special abilities
Lazzero was blessed by a more powerful soul than the average mortal. This allowed him to channel and cast divine magic. Although, he claimed this power came from Drothgam, god of law, it was actually supplied by Lillias, goddess of manipulation, and Lazzero used this power to gain control over all of Rioja.
Apparel & Accessories
Lazzero often dressed in extravagantly fine armor or cloths. He often wore golden full plate or gold inlaid clothes. He was often seen carrying golden keys, the holy symbol of Drothgam.
Specialized Equipment
Lazzero wielded Crocea Kyrio. This is a powerful magical gladius formed from the remnants of the original Sword Imperious, once wielded by Atam Zayar. This blade allows the wielder to effectively lead vast armies and inspire huge crowds of people. It also grants the user the ability to unleash large amounts of destruction, as if they were a one-man army. This blade can only be picked up by a human, with a blood connection to Atam Zayar, who's worthy of ruling Rioja.

As the eldest son of the Varona family, Lazzero was given the best education one could receive. He was sent all over the world studying a variety of topics.
Employment
Following the death of his parents, Lazzero became Baron of Varona. He served as Baron for several years gaining a large support from the common folk due to his divine powers and innate charm. When King Nicodemus died, Lazzero saw this as an opportunity to expand his influence and regain the glory of the long-dead Pailian Empire.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Lazzero was a prodigal manipulator and used his innate skills to ascend to the throne. During his short time on the throne, he managed to organize the Riojan military at a blistering speed and almost started wars with several countries around Rioja. He was also able to lift Crocea Kyrio.
Failures & Embarrassments
Lazzero only stayed on the throne for a short period of time. His reign was cut short by the Black Rose Organization, lead by his sister, Alessa. The Black Rose began a siege on the High City and when that didn't stop Lazzero from organizing the army, they began an assault known as The Battle of the High City. Lazzero would be killed Alessa in the imperial palace, freeing Rioja from the grips of a mad man.

Lazzero was plagued with a god complex. Due to his privileged upbringing and unique abilities, Lazzero began to see his own innate greatness and the need to expand his influence as far as he could reach. As a young child, he was highly fascinated with the story of the Pailian Empire and saw it as the obvious path Rioja should take.

Lazzero was truly a mastermind and a manipulator. He was extremely proficient in manipulating people into believing what he wanted them to believe and in seeing how events could lead to his success or downfall. He used these skills to ascend to the throne and corrupt the hearts of the public into wanting war against rival nations.

Lazzero was extremely selfish. At every chance he got, he took the path that lead to his greatest success at the cost of anyone. The only people Lazzero valued other than himself were his sisters, Alessa and Delia.

Motivation
Lazzero was motivated by the greatness that came before him. He grew up on stories of the Pailian Empire and how to stretched all over the continent. He was appalled by how Rioja was now, a shadow of its former self, full of backstabbing selfish politicians, and lazy liberal citizens. Lazzero knew that with the proper man sitting on the throne, Rioja could rise again and be better than it ever was before.
