Ulvarhrim (ool-var-rim)
Ulvarhrim, or more commonly known as Diamond Ice, is a magical ice that is only found in the farthest north regions of the world. It is bitingly cold and should never be touched with bare skin, otherwise you risk intense pain and near immediate frostbite. It can be, cut, shaped, and sculpted, but not easily. Only the most talented of smiths can craft it in to usable weapons and armor. In its natural state it is merely a very cold, very hard chunk of ice and frost crystals form on surfaces near it. While not rare, it is exceedingly difficult to acquire due to the location of it, being most abundant deep within the Packlord's domain. Though some deposits of it are found outside of his range.
