Marco Turello

Defíl Marco Turello was a Varaso adventurer and author. The third and youngest son of count and countess of Oleiros, Caspar Lubolo Turello and Meunpelle Naŗan de Haute-Mézèrise, he was the only surviving member of his immediate family following their deaths in the aftermath of the siege of Alvoradã and final Enzimian conquest of Varas. He was disinherited of his noble title at 20 and went into exile in Sižoną. He spent years living among various tribes, nomads, and groups in Sižoną and Nęžqama in the Arega. When he was 24 he was engaged to a nomadic Chazhdurm girl named Cidina until she died of illness before they could be wed. After seven years in exile, he briefly returned to Alvoradã in 2366 before quickly leaving to Pèrigiois to live with his extended maternal family. He spent several months living in Pèrigiois, falling for his second cousin, Aulis Salomé de Haute-Mézèrise, and returning with her back to Alvoradã. There he began writing novels and memoirs recounting his adventures in Chazderma, writing five books in three years and becoming a rather successful and well-known author. His love affair with Madame de Haute-Mézèrise wasn't made public until after his death in 2369. His ultimate fate was mysterious and subject to some debate until labourers found a finished manuscript as well as years worth of personal journal entries preserved in an abandoned hideout in Alvoradã's sewer system during a renovation in 2816, 447 years after his last entry. The manuscript was published postumously, another account of his adventures in Chazderma, and his journal provided insight into his personal life, as well as the likely details of his death while involved with a pagan cell operating against Enzimian authority in the years before the declaration of the Holy Enzimian Empire. He was evidently killed during the Frostfall Uprising in Alvoradã on 4 Frostfall, 2369.
