Arega Desert

The Arega Desert is a large desert in the south of Eussis

Name

Arega is the Varaso name: "árida da arega". The word Arega itself derives from the Southeastern Chagic *ʿaraga, having to do with burning, related to the Chazhdurm "aŗtaģaha" (to raze) and Erghuz "ܥܵܐܪܓ݂ܱܰ" (ʿārgha) (a type of brush fire). In Akridian, the region is called "⠗⠤⠠⠍⠒⠖⠒⠠⠉⠭⠮⠒⠧⠉⠗" (pè kľeki ʽíčnkxép), meaning "the new hive lands".
