Agian

Agian is a name used to refer to a number of closely related Tira Vellic dialects spoken in the Grey. It is spoken by the various tribes that inhabit the region. It is considered threatened as urbanisation drives Agians to learn and use standard Tira Vellan.   A conservative form of the language, it retains several archaic features not present in modern Tira Vellan, including a retention of the ablative case, the /w/ sound, and a lesser degree of iotacism. It also possesses the long ᾱ in places where modern Tira Vellan and the Boeupseian branch it derives from have an η.
