History

The Elves are an isolationistic people, generally only interacting with the southern demons that come down for trade. While contact with outsides has always been frowned upon, there was a type that the High Elves had declared it completely forbidden. This did not last very long as the there was an uprising against the High Elves. While the High Elves technically won, they have not had much presence in the land since then, instead choosing to stay on their isle.   With recent innovations, they have gotten back into contact with the humans and are tentatively resuming trade with them. This is being challenged by the pirates that come and pillage their lands.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Elves tend to be fairly neutral towards other races, not caring to interact with other in general. They have a stronger relationship with the Demons, as their shorter-lived cousins, as there is a land bridge between them, while the sea between The Human Lands and the Elven Forest is a hot spot for storms. Their relationship with humans isn't helped by the fact that those that do manage to get through the storms, tend to carry off their young, leaving a brutish reputation.
