The Glass Sea

The sand scatters and you find yourself at the edge of what seems to be a plain made of glass
We found father. Or what remains of him at least. Kyl found him on the edge of the Banished Lands and had to carry him home. If it was just that I could understand, there couldn't be much in the way of water there, but it's been over a fortnight since then. When he wakes, he is incoherent, the only thing I can make out is when he rises from a nightmare screaming about being attacked. I know that you never believed in it being haunted, but I don't think that all of father left that place when his body did. --A letter

Geography

The Sea of Glass is surrounded by mountains on three edges, leaving only one potential entrance. Inbetweener the Mountains and the Glass Sea are towering mounds of glass, looking like a crown. This has led to the name, Crown of the Damned for the highly poetic.    Much like the desert at the entrance, the Glass Sea is deceptively flat. While the wind has dulled some of the edges one might find, it has sharpened many more.

Localized Phenomena

Those that spend too long or wonder too deep into the Sea of Glass tend to regret it. If they manage to leave. More than just the increasing likelihood of getting sliced on the sharp jagged edges, it is the screams. Sceptics claim that it is just the echoing of the wind through the glass towers, but most believe it to be the dying cries of those that never managed to leave.

Fauna & Flora

None. It is a dead land.

Natural Resources

There are rumors of being able to see water flowing under the glass. No one is quite sure if it would be safe even if it did exist.
I'll wonder the edges of the Land of the Tormented every couple of weeks, trying to find those poor souls that wonder in without knowing what it is truly like. All too often, all I find is their bodies, often impaled on the outreaches that seem safe.
