Proposed Changes

Rules Changes

Both cost and time for learning and writing spells is the same for everyone. But casting it can be different.

Casting on the Fly Version 1 (Schools/Archetype)

When you have not completed the study in a school of magic, you can still cast the spell, but the base mana cost (CP of the spell) is five times (5x) higher for you to cast the spell. There are Feats that can reduce this multiple. Only the base mana (CP) is multiplied, the cost of the spell parameters is not.

Further if there is a spell with an Archetype mentioned and you are not that archetype, you can cast the spell that you have put in your Wizard’s Tome or Prayer Book, but it costs an Action Die to cast it.

Casting on the Fly Version 2 (Archetype/Schools)

I reversed the AD requirement and mana requirement for the 2 options. The feats stay the same.

New Feats

Sorcery Basics CP 8

Normally when you have not completed the study in a school of magic, you can still cast the spell, but the base mana cost (CP of the spell) is five times (5x) higher for you to cast the spell. This feat reduces that multiple to 4x. Further, you gain 4 mana for your Mana Pool.

Sorcery Mastery CP 8
Requirement: Sorcery Basics

This reduces that multiple to 3x. Further, you gain 5 mana for your Mana Pool.

Sorcery Supremacy CP 8
Requirement: Sorcery Mastery

This reduces that multiple to 2x. Further, you gain 5 mana for your Mana Pool.
