The lava surged, forming an impenetrable barrier between the True Menagerie and the Gate of Fire. Panic set in as the cavern entrance vanished, leaving them trapped on a fiery island. However, the discord was interrupted by the haunting sound of a flute.
Cardinal Koresh observed Skips, Aldus, and Obsidian succumb to a deep slumber, and then, from thin air, emerged an old friend—Panos the Satyr. Rejoicing at the reunion, Panos conveyed a message from Orin the Owl, guiding the party to a place where they could acquire an item to break the lava barrier. With a magical portal, Panos transported Baylok, Cardinal, Grimgard, and Yogar to a snowy mountaintop, leaving the remaining members of the party slumbering in protective shields.
After navigating through the mountains and finding the cavern entrance, The party found themsleves solving a mystifying puzzle, and engaging in a fierce battle against Frost giants, the party successfully secured a frozen heart—a crucial item. The close call with Grimgard's life hung in the balance, but with determination, the True Menagerie emerged victorious. Panos bestowed a blessing upon them, restoring their strength and resolve.
The journey back through the portal led them to the Mines beneath Rhazidur, where the blessing's effects lingered. The party, now rested and resolute, stood ready for whatever awaited them in the depths. The echoes of the frostbound peaks and the fiery cavern intertwined, creating a narrative tapestry that promised an unpredictable and thrilling continuation of their quest.
