Deep Holm

Deep Holm is a large Dwarven and Gnome mining village in the southern Cragspire Mountains with roughly 120 standing structures. The village has seen its community growing as of late with the addition of 2 separate goliath clans taking up residence. The village is nothing more than a shanty village with small badly built houses that are basically thrown-together hovels and tents. There are very few permanent buildings, with time; some of the domiciles are being reinforced and expanded or establishing storefronts. Notably, the mine itself was once the home of the great wyrm gold dragon Eldralon, the Benevolent There are rich copper and iron lodes in the area and a significant deposit of coal by the Pit. The denizens engage in prospecting and mining, herding sheep, and gathering edible flowers. A band of gnome traders from Deep Holm visit Kazak Depths about once a month, weather permitting. They also take to the High Road for the trading caravans. In the time before the Tattenshade edict, wizards aware of Eldralon would come to the village hoping to trade spells.

Demographics

The population of Deep Holm is 50% Dwarf, 25% Goliath, 15% Gnome, and 10% various other races. The people are destitute, nearly everyone in the village consistently lacks the barest essentials of what they need to survive.

The village is governed by prominent members of the community who are chosen to lead the village collectively.
