Borreal

Boreal is a small village with approximately 60 standing structures, set in the forest along the Poltava River. The humble sheep herding village of Boreal was located in the southern Mera, between the Whispwood and Grim Mire. Boreal is connected to the towns of E’i Anore and Shadetree by small trails. Historically, Boreal served as a waystop on the Poltava River before reaching Dagger Bay. Boreal began its life as a Tortle trading post but over time Half-Elf, and Elfs, looking for a simpler life have begun to take up residence.

Demographics

The population of Boreal is 50% Elven, 25% Half-Elf, 15% Tortle, and 10% various other races. The people are affluent, the entire village is able to live comfortably, with a significant portion living in luxury.

The village is governed by an elected mayor.

Boreal s citizens come together to address any criminal or unsavory issues that may come about.

The village has a Tavern, a magical book store, a blacksmith, a gathering hall for community-organized activities, and a park.

Infrastructure

Boreal is immaculate, villagers are very well organized and there is clearly a concerted effort to keep the village in the best shape possible. Cleanliness is a priority, as is the maintenance of the roads and paths.

Assets

The village raises animals to be slaughtered for meat, including cattle, pigs, and sheep.

Points of interest

There is a temple in a grand building, replete with elements like high ceilings, plush furnishings, and other impressive ornamental and architectural features. It can hold nearly a thousand attendees. The pious are confident and unafraid to display their faith openly, but do not encroach upon the wider populus uncalled for. The faith is devoted to Erathis.

Tourism

The streets and shops are generally busy within the village. Locals are standoffish, but can be friendly if you get to know them.

Architecture

The village is nothing more than a shanty village with small badly built houses that are basically thrown-together hovels and tents. There are very few permanent buildings, with time, some of the domiciles are being reinforced and expanded or establishing storefronts.

Geography

The forest was modest, luminous, and thriving. Its canopy was competed for by oak, pine, and hawthorn, their leaves and branches allowed for just enough light to pass down for an overabundance of mushrooms to control the boulder covered grounds below. Bundled branches embraced most trees, and a range of flowers, which grew dispersed and sparingly, spruced up the otherwise green view.region is fertile enough.
