Additional space was soon necessary and the village grew until it became a city. Despite this expansion, evidence of its humble beginnings are still visible in many places. A’flenor is known for its outdoor festival venue and its ancient wall. The city's construction is mostly of stone foundation with blue tiled rooftops, with cobbled streets. Most of the Bridges are made of stone however you will find some old bridges from the first elven settlement that are made of wood. A’flenor is fortified and surrounded by a substantial stone wall. The wall is able to be patrolled by guards on a raised walkway. Visitors to the city pass through a main gate that is barred in the evenings. A few watch towers are placed around the city, though are likely sporadic, The city has a city watch run by a single captain, the watch has sufficient strength to cover key points, as well establish a patrol once or twice a day. A’flenor is slow at night, almost everything is closed except for taverns, which may be open until early morning, and inns, which stay open perpetually. The gate is closed at night but guards will generally be ready to open it, as needed. The city has multiple obelisks, of great size, placed sporadically throughout the districts. Architecture

The majority of the structures in the city are built of white washed obsidian blocks. There are multiple tall spires and structures with semicircular arches. The majority of the rooftops are covered in blue wooden shingles. It's common for the governmental buildings and nobles' homes to have geometric designs inlaid on the walls and tuscan columns. Throughout the city you will find covered verandas on many of the multi-story buildings. The condition of the city is impressive, it is well taken care of and cleanliness is clearly a priority. As you journey through the streets you see that the structures are maintained, though signs of wear may still be apparent. It feels lived-in, but of a respectable quality in every regard.

Geography

A’flenor sits in the center of the Whispwood forest, the trees are large, with trunks as wide as city gates and leaves which give a golden hue when exposed to sunlight, making a golden canopy. Pine-cones from the forest flow through the river all the way to the Amethyst Currents.
