The Falconers' Club
The Falconers' Club is a private social club for people of the upper eschelon of the Eight States of Chronan, that focuses on hunting monstrosities as a sport. It is strictly invite only, and the invitees must have proven themselves capable monster slayers. The club originated from Czenova, due to the large number of chaotic beasts emerging from the aftermath of the War Between Order and Chaos, but it now has branches in each of the eight great cities. Previously, it was exclusive to males, but lately it has opened its doors to female members as well.
The club was named after the use of birds of prey, such as falcons and copperhawks, by the original members in hunting, but after the invention of clockwork animals, the use of real birds fell out of fashion. Nowadays, each new member is given a clockwork bird of prey as a symbol of membership, although it is up to each individual to decide how they do their hunting.
The club often gets requests for powerful monsters to be vanquished, and the members compete with each other on who gets this "mark" first, earning the reward. Heads of the slayed beasts are hung on the walls of the slayer's clubhouse.
