Snowy Owlbear

Larger and more menacing than their ordinary counterparts, the Snowy Owlbears live on the frozen mountain peaks, only descending to the valleys below during the dead of winter. They are creatures of the cold, being immune to freezing and blending perfectly to snowy landscapes. They sometimes hunt by causing causing avalanches with their shrill shrieks.
Even their beaks and claws are freezing cold to those unfortunate enough to get in their way. Biologists believe that wild magic has transformed this breed into something unnatural.
In Chronan, most of these terrifying beasts reside at The Skyward Peaks, menacing the denizens of the valleys.
