Astronautilus

Astronautili are gigantic, floating nautilus-like molluscs that glide silently among the skylands of The Glimmering Archiourano. Biologists claim that their pearlescent shells contain glimspar, giving them the ability to float.
Astronautili feed on flocks of birds that fly by as they hide in the glittering clouds. Sometimes a misfortunate winged kobold or aarakocra might get caught by their tentacles, but any astronautilus knows to stay away from the dragons ruling the skylands.
