Pyeske - Words of the Sky

It is as if, when they open their mouths to speak, all the vowels flow out in slow motion, blurring and blending into each other until finally they come upon a soft consonant that does not stop the flow, but merely shifts its direction into another river of vowel sounds. There is not what we would recognize as traditional spacing between words, but instead phrases and sentences fall into a rhythmic cadence akin to chanting. Hearing them speak, you could almost imagine it is the sound of the somnolent clouds singing as they drift along in the vast, clear sky of the grasslands.
They do not have a name for this language - they have never felt the need for one. I call it "pyeske" - words of the sky.

Geographical Distribution

This is a language used solely by the tribes of the Gueta Ko, and only when they are speaking to each other, their animals or the Moon Mother.  They do not have a name for it - Pyeske is the name given it by the other inhabitants of the island.

Because Pyeske has no orthography, the only way to write it is through a clumsy attempt at phonetic spelling with the Belt alphabet.
Here is a traditional leave-taking/blessing, which translates into "May the Moon Mother kiss you." -

And here is an oft-used proverb that translates into something like, "Time is as wide as the sky. I am as light as an ember drifting on air." -
