Nearly entire fleet of Maneater attempts to destroy important hellanan port of Corynth, leading to a military disaster and end of Native Sea War.
Native Sea War was a period of utter disaster for every single country on a Native Sea coast, with even those from Black Sea (and Far East) suffering serious economic setbacks.
Maneater nearly managed to cause utter collapse of his enemies' economies simply be being much more merciless than them, being more than able to outlast them by purging all discontent in most brutal way.
However, last raid - targeted at important port of Corynth - ended up with disaster, as the city employed an array of mirrors to concentrate sunlight strong enough for it to serve as weapon.
What's more, ships crewed by Romans changed sides, being already tired by all this fighting.
The battle ended with devastating victory of coalition, with Incinerator slain by specially assembled task force of hoplites. The battle was followed by coup in Roman Republic which soon driven out Southern Empire from Itavian Peninsula, slaying Beheader.
