Following death of Rannar Longbow in a duel, a civil war occurs in Kingdom of Southern Dragaria, causing invasion of drakons under Drarek the Incinerator.
After long period of inner fighting following the disaster that Fifth Dragon War was for drakons and their high dragon overlords, Drarek managed to finally eliminate dissenter and restored his rule... with exception of isle of Verthila, which remained independent.
Then Rannar Longbow died in duel against a pretendent, causing a sudden split between isles of Rathia and Rynneria. Soon it escalated into a civil war, which Drarek decided to exploit.
