Kingdom of Khem tries to prevent Maneater forces from crossing River Nihl in a several day long battle fought on both river and land.

Following the fall of Karthia forces of Maneater marched west and east, subjugating various tribes and city-states. Unstoppable in their march, they decided to move slowly, to ensure that the area is properly conquered before moving forward.

While it ensured the lack of guerillas at the back, it gave time for other countries to learn of Maneater arrival and prepare themselves for a total war - first of such kind in the history of Preimperial Era - being fully ready to empty their own supernatural arsenals to achieve victories.

Eastern army of Maneater growing empire (that in future was called Southern Empire) marched through Cyrenian Peninsula and entered northwestern Khem. Khemian army prepared themselves to prevent their crossing of Nihl.

The battle was waged for eight days straight, with both sides throwing both men and daemons (not to mention undead from deserts and tombs the pharaoh called to defend the living) with reckless abandon.

Forces of Defiler - one of Maneater's lieutenants - ultimately proved victorious simply by being more merciless than their opponents. The victory, however, was a costly one, with Defiler army suffering devastating loses and tied in prolonging sieges against Khem cities.
