Rawrs

Rawrs are believed to be a descendants of humans once inhabiting Northern Land, driven from it by the glacial cape march south. After it enveloped the entire peninsula, they were forced to flee, settling on northern and eastern coasts of Dragarian Isles. Many of them also moved east, settling coasts of Scavian Peninsula. In all of this places climate is rather... unwelcoming. What's more, both in Dragarian Isles and on Scavian Peninsula they were forced to coexist with rather... unwelcoming natives.
At the end, the Rawrs remain a rather xenophobic outcasts that barely manage to keep enough cohesiveness to be consider a unified cultural group - mostly due to regular pilgrimage to the glacial cape where Northern Land once was, and then - after it resurfaced following the climate change that accompanied Great Karadian War - to the Northern Land itself.
They are also surrounded by much more advanced (in terms of culture, military might, magic and technology alike) civilizations that all consider them a bunch of abhorrent and backward barbarians. The way they are looked down on is one of the reason of their continuous survival - since noone likes them, the number of Rawrs being assimilated by the neighbours is rather thin. Wiping them out is also hard, mostly because Imperium doesn't look favourably at genocides, even when the target of it is really useless for Imperium as a whole and has a tendency of producing rather insane and berserkerish pirates.

Rawrs do not have family names. There are no families there, only clans - widespread bloodlines that are what can be described as only major social structure of this people.
