Nythrathril is a terrible, ancient being that was imprisoned at the depths of Frozen Sea by Arthur Aetherling, unknown and undescribable as all Aberrants are, and as powerful and malevolent as all Grant Aberrants are.

Personal history

Nythathril was 'born' as a small and unremarkable aberrant, which was born from the collective fear and pain of inhabitants of First Empire during their war against Kashya the Dragonslayer. He was tainted by the powers of Darkness at the very beginning, but not enough to become one of many servants of Kashya.
After battle between The Eldest and Kashya the Dragonslayer, Nythrathril was lucky enough to steal what remained of Primordial Chaos Eldest used to transform himself into the Dragonbone Mountains. With it, Nythrathril grew. He fled north and hidden itself in a Frozen Isle, where he could safely digest what he ate.
There he grew his empire of fear, changing Frozen Sea and its coast in a place of terror and dread. He was finally confronted and defeated by human warlord Arthur Aetherling around 167 PIE, after ruling his dark domain since Late Archaic.
After that he was imprisoned at the darkest, most remote depths of Frozen Sea, with his lair on Frozen Islands destroyed completely. He made several attempts at escaping it, only to lose at every time. While he finally managed to destroy Lomar, country founded by its hated archenemy, he is still bound at the depths of the sea.

Gender Identity

Considering his names and type of priests he prefers, Nythrathril can be assumed to be at least to some point male, however details are unknown.

Sexuality

Most of his cults possess, for some reason, a female priestesses. With some of them named in a way suggesting some sort of sexual activities (an example could be Brides of Nyithr from the times of Third Frost War), however exact details are unknown and probably really distasteful.

Morality & Philosophy

As every Grand Aberrant is, he is actively malevolent, bending mortal minds into his pure madness, merely by existing. Following his imprisonment he became even more hateful and terrible, trying to spread madness and misery to engineer his great revival.
