Witch Queen Marylyna Tesawvir

Marylyna Tesawvir was one of the bloodiest, most insane tyrants to ever befell Karadia in known history, since the fall the Xylian Dominion made insane tyrants no longer being an accepted norm. She was a nightmare incarnate that decimated kingdom of Ceralyn, causing utter collapse of its northern, most developed part, that was crucial to the easy human conquest of what remained merely fifteen years later.

Personal history

The origins of the Witch Queen of Ceralyn are unknown. Few remained tales about her not only are inconsistent, but also were written after her death, made to make her look like even more of a monster that she already was.
What is known is that around 85 year PIE she challenged and decapitated former sorcerer-king of Ceralyn, taking control of the kingdom according to elven traditions. That was the beginning of the horror that her reign turned out to be. After several attempted but failed challenged, she began to fear the death that meant an end to her rule. And there is nothing more terrifying to the subjects that a ruler that is afraid of them.
Soon a terror spread throughout kingdom, as witch-queen begun brutally purging every single person that could somehow become a threat to her. A purge that was especially brutal as she took a chance to decompress her fear and paranoia at her victims. Her enemies - even potential one - were quartered or tortured to death, their children sold as slaves and their wives and sisters sold to brothel as slaves, or gifted to Marylyna's supporters for their loyalty.
The purge after purge decimated elites of kingdom of Ceralyn. With every attempt to depose or kill Marylyna causing even more brutal purges. This situation continued for years, as her paranoia made her incredibly hard to kill. It wasn't until she began to turn against her own supporters that she was deposed. And they did it in the way equally nightmarish. She was strangled with a pillow by her bodyguards, then carried in secret to the ancient tombs of Ceralyn on Thousand Steps - despite her actually regaining consciousness midway - and then buried in a tomb alive, where she finally perished.
Many, many years later, however, her graveyard was desecrate as its guardian nymph fell insane due to influence of growing anomaly known as Valley of Ashes. Then, Marylyna rose as a murderous and insane Revenant known to adventurers simply as Witch Queen, hunting people to butcher for eternity, a fate fitting for the monster she was in life.
