Holy Magic

Holy Magic is a common brand of several magical schools that can be compared to certain types of crossbreeds between thaumaturgy and theurgy, generally coming from the latter category but spread so wide it can be learned by common people, without direct contact with servile daemons. Making it also a bit like thaumaturgy.   It is commonly asociated with monotheist gods of generally understood 'Good'. It requires being a worshipper of said gods to use them (making them basically exclusive) and the exact damages they cause are heavily dependant on target's character (beings commiting sins according to religion of origin will take more damage, while those sinless will be invulnerable or will take very small damage.
 

Subschools of Holy Magic

Yehavei Magic [WM] - Also called Inri's Magic. It is connected to inrithism as a whole, and considered one of the most expansive and widespread type of Holy Magic. That is also one of the strongest subschools of Holy Magic as a whole, drawing power from the Holy Trinity.   Yehavei Magic is composed of many spells that can empower - or soothe their pain) creatures of good character (regardless of their nature, since inrithism is generally not concerned with it) and neutral, with a noticable difference between them in terms of power. There are also offensive spells - combined with slightly golden, soothing light - that deal mental damage to creatures of evil character.   Overtyrant's Magic [HX] - A type of Holy Magic connected to the Overtyrant, a benevolent Greater Enigma worshipped as a God by inhabitants of Holy Kingdom of Khard, with Doom Magic being its secondary attunement. Which quite describes what sort of magic is that.   Hexes of Tyrant's Magic rend sanity (stronger in beings of evil character, but generally damages all) while causing crippling mental and physical damage similar to Death Magic, destroying lifeforce of afflicted beings. Once again, those of evil character receive additional damage. There are also beneficial support hexes that help caster and his allies as long as they are not of evil character themselves. Rather than being a 'light' magic, this magic is accompanied by darkening of an area, since it somehow... 'seeps' light away.   Lady's Magic [SP] - A type of Holy Magic connected to Lady, visenian monotheistic Greater Goddess of generally understood good. Its secondary attunement is Water Magic, since it is commonly believed that Lady begun her 'career' as a goddess of water and motherhood.   Lady's Magic have spells that use extremely pure water, that is also in a way blessed, causing increased damage for creatures of evil character or nature (with character working stronger), also soothing pain and lowering chance for infection by cleaning (in a preternatural way) wounds from all microorganisms that can be harmful.   Allfather's Magic [SP] - Allfather's Magic is a Holy Magic connected to Allfather, ceverian Greater God and supposed creator of world. His magic is a slightly generic type of Holy Magic, with a slight twist of using air and thunder as a mediums, all of them noticably more 'radiant' in colors.   Defense & Support spells use auras transmitted via air, strenghtening those of good character or nature. Offensive spells are mainly electricity and thunders, causing increased electrical damage to those of evil character and holy damages to those of evil nature.   Allmaker's Magic [SP] - Allmaker's Magic is a Holy Magic connected to Allmaker, diretian Greater God and supposed creator of the world from which Diretians originated. Following the defeat at the hands of his evil archenemy, he fled to Gates of Eternity together with his believers, now residing here and gathering power for a reconquest.   Allmaker's Magic is generally a rather ordinary Holy Magic - with silvery light, however it has a certain oddity. While buffing works typically (enpowers those of good nature and character) the offensive and defensive part is centered around combating Profane Magic and Infernal Magic (mostly Chaos Magic. It can prevent their sanity-rending effects, while dealing holy damage to their daemons and weakening its users.
