Why should we allow others to determine what we are capable of? The only ones who know of our capacities for greatness are our individual selves.

Personal history

Born in the small village of Witherthorpe to Lyra and Quinn Vernal. For most of his youth, he spent his days wandering from his house in the village to the small library within the village's council hall (though one could hardly their minuscule collection of books a library). By the time he was 10, Tyrel had read each and every book in the library's collection five times over.   His mothers, noticing his thirst for knowledge, his excellent reading capabilities, and his desire for something more challenging in his life, worked two jobs in order to provide him with the best possible future. Over time, they raised enough money to send him to Eldorwin's first college - the Arthaenum Incarthys. Some of the villagers even helped with the fund raising, though some only had the intentions of getting the nosy, 'too smart for his own good' boy out of their village. By 16, he had his scholarship to the Arthaenum funded, and was travelling to the west to fulfill his dreams.   Long years of studying everything he possibly could, he eventually became known as one of the Arthaenum's best lecturers - for by the age of 21, he had a permanent job with the college teaching about astronomy. His study of the field over the course of the next 10 years would allow him to create what would eventually be referred to as the Tyrel Script - Garlan's first and only denotation of a calendar. It took time to perfect the calendar, but by 27 Tyrel and his research associates had worked out that a year was made up of 365, and together they determined the number of months - and days within those months - by matching the changes in weather and changes in the duration of daylight hours through out the year.

Circumstances of Death
Tyrel was caught in the middle of a bar fight between a few drunkards. A stray knife caught him between his ribs, nicking the bottom of his heart. He was dead before the fight was over, and long before the healers had a chance to check over his wounds.
