A Feast for the Underdark

A collection of culinary dishes and recipes used by the Solstyx clan of Drow who make their home in the Underdark to the west of Rovanir, Varenfall.

Purpose

The document's author - Marion Deval - is a connoisseur of the culinary variety. She has travelled the world for the majority of her 48 years of human life searching for recipes that are full of flavour, look appetising, and can expand on her already vast knowledge of food. As a side project, she also wants to bring together the different cultures across the globe, and what better way than to research and share everyone's universal love of food?

A Feast for the Underdark

A note to my dear readers before we start.
The drow are often seen as evil aligned and reclusive creatures, with a tendency to enact terrible plans against the surface dwellers and make slaves of our brothers and sisters.
However, I implore that you change your frankly long outdated view of them, for they are just as loyal and graceful as the elves who walk amongst us day to day, and act just as kindly as neighbours would. For all the months I spent in the Underdark researching their culinary delicacies, not once did they strike out against me or belittle me due to my race.

Page 21. I know what you're think - the name doesn't sound appetising at all, it doesn't draw you in. But my dear readers, it doesn't need to. The home grown vegetables of Solstyx are once again front and centre, from mashed sweet potatoes to sol-bore peppers (the Solstyx equivalent of our own). This dish is bursting with a mixture of flavours, none more overpowering than another, all perfectly balanced to make a brilliant lunchtime or evening meal.

Page 54. A delicious blend of vegetables grown in the gardens of the Solstyx Underdark - an impressive feat on it's own considering the lack of sunlight beneath the surface - and cave fisher meat. Leaves a sweet and sour taste in the mouth and provides an energetic boost throughout the day.
