KnitKnight Co.

Founded in 2019 by popular influencer and MINARC-registered Guardian Erika Kam, KnitKnight specialises in crafting armour that doubles as fashionable clothing, for fighters who want to kick ass and look good doing it. Using a combination of rune magic and embroidery, pieces from KnitKnight are no heavier than day-to-day clothes but are tough to pierce. As a downside, most of them are long-sleeved by necessity to protect the arms, which is not ideal for the local weather. However, higher-end pieces use advanced runes to project hard-light plates and even transmute themselves into full-plate armour, allowing for cuts with more air circulation. While it does cost a pretty penny, most users consider it a worthy investment.   Erika Kam runs a tight ship of a business, maintaining minimal cost while delivering the best possible quality, and also making sure environmental impact is minimised. Her studio/'forge', a repurposed shipping crate, is also her apartment (She has a couch-bed set up in a relatively clean spot). She also arranges to hand-deliver her products, reducing delivery fees and manpower. While it can be hard to find ethically sourced threads and fabrics, she uses her connections as a social media personality to get in touch with the right suppliers.   Due to limited target audiences, big companies cannot make a good profit in the magical society. Conversely, small businesses are able to get by more easily without major competition. KnitKnight is thus able to afford prime advertising spots in MINARC's Many Roads Tavern, the hub of transport for the magical world.   While KnitKnight and her other duties as a Guardian are sides of herself that she cannot share with her followers, Erika appreciates that there's a side of her life that the universe forcefully obscures from most people, and takes great pleasure in her work. Her passion for fashion with function shines through in the pieces she creates, and is dearly felt by users whenever a monster's claws ricochet off their batwing-sleeved off-the-shoulder sweater.
