The Curious Case of Hego Windslayer: A Timeline of the Black Fog

5E, 7th year. The first case of the Black Fog makes its way out of the reclusive Kingdom of Fogholt.
5E, 20th year. At this point in the plague over 100000 humans have died from the disease. Other races are getting sick but not to the level that humans are.
5E, 91st year. Through meticulous health procedures the general population has been kept away from the dangerous plague outbursts.
5E, 96th year. Most pockets of sickness have at least been quarantined but many areas in the rural countryside have been decimated. This is causing the people that think themselves safe to venture outside their safe zones to get food.
5E, 106th year. As people got more frivolous with their health, some people even started trying to cleanse their body of the cure through holistic methods. They claimed it was causing them to feel worse then the Foggies of ten years before.
5E, 111th year. Due to people reversing the magical cure in their bodies, they accidentally restarted the Black Fog as it quickly spread across the realm again, seemingly stronger and more contagious than before.
5E, 158th year. Highking Hector Skytracer had an assassination attempt on his life that almost suceeded, little did he know that insidr the hospital ward is where he would contract the Black Fog sickness that would kill him in that same year.
5E, 159th year. A team led by Remus SIlverstaff, Boto Silverstaff and Alma Nuada ventured in to Fogholt to try and find the cause of the plague. They discovered an artifact in the base of the city, likely connected to the Oakhand family and their tendency to tamper with magic they don’t understand.
5E, 160th year Remus wed his wife Zara in the frigid north where he lived most of the year. The cold kept the virus at bay. This Aridheat was surprisingly warm and Zara passed away shortly after giving birth to Remus’ son Xarus. Remus was not there as he was sure he would find a cure in time. It was still 3 years before the Black Fog was cured.
5E 162nd year. The Silverstaff’s and the Lead Vaccitian of the Seekers created a cure from utilizing an ancient magical artifact found on their excursion to Fogholt and enzymes from a very rare and magically imbued type of octopus.
5E, 163rd year. Remus and Boto worked with the organization of the Seekers to develop a cure to stop the worst symptoms and spread of the Black Fog. People who had contracted it before the cure would still have their skin turn grey when they died but that was after their body stopped fighting it at old age. Children of people with the cure inside them are supposed to be entirely immune to the Fog.
5E, 164th year. Remus joined the Seekers after his older brother Boto decided to take the ancient Fogholt Artifact back to Skygarde for research. The brothers were at odds with what knowledge of magic should be shared with the public.
5E, 165st year. Hego Windslayer is born healthy in Arboran.
5E, 169rd year. Somehow the Eastqueen Gwydo Windslayer died abruptly of the black Fog, not the worse symptoms but the disease clearly took her. This was odd because she closed herself off and never had the disease. The cure should have made her entirely immune.
5E, 174nd year. Remus discovers that Hego is somehow both immune to the Black Plague symptoms but also immune to the cure. Hego can transmit the Black Fog without feeling the sickness.
5E, 175th year. Remus creates the Aurorus Boreald using a powerful battery crystal at the top of the lighthouse.
5E 178th year. Hego is moved to Clarion where Remus can study him.
To this day it is not totally understood what is going on with Hego and his unique immune system. A commoner might have just been killed to rid the world of a potential outbreak again but Remus wanted to understand what was going on within his blood.
