The 6 Royal Bloodlines of Galfin
6 humans fought and freed their race millennia ago from the tyrant Onyx Elves. an evil race that was wiped from the realm with the guidance of a powerful man known as Dhara. Dhara rallied the 6 and died during the final battle of man versus elf. His act of martydom was seen by the gods and Dhara was inducted into the heavens. As a god, he gave the 6 heroes of man the strength and faith they needed to overpower the Onyx elves and free their people from 1000 years of slavery. The wound has healed but there is still some anti-elf sentiments from many humans. Most people forget that the lesser elf races were also enslaved by the evil Onyx elves.
Beowulf Skytracer
Beowulf was a powerful and honorable man. Dhara seeked him out first when the Great Rebellion was just an idea. Without the allure of fighting alongside one of the most prolific men alive, Dhara would have struggled to garner the banners of the other kingdoms. Beowulf lead the charge against the Onyx elves all those years ago. The rulers once known as the Plainskings won control over much of Galfin when a rebellion sprouted up from the Westking many years ago. Ever since then the Skytracer line has ruled as Highkings of all the mainland. The current Highking is Orion Skytracer, a well loved and respected king.
Ivorus Windslayer
Ivoris was the brutalist of warriors. He was not honorable once blood touched his lips. The wild chieftain was not liked by the other leaders but they could not toss away his battle prowess. Ivorus himself could take down 100 enemies let alone his massive army who were the best fighters in Galfin. The current Eastking is Addikus Windslayer who has mostly been absent for about 10 years. His province of Mooncrest has fallen into disarray as many factions fight for control of the woods. Most notably the Cardinalhood, a group of rangers who have taken it upon themselves to police the woods. Only when Orion the Highking comes to meet does Addikus open the doors of Arboran.
Silenus Boggan
Silenus was the key strategist and hand picked by Dhara during the great war. The messiah knew that no mind in Galfin could outthink the Boggan men. Floki Boggan now rules the West and North. His base is in the city of Retch of the Hollow Peak province. His family has tried many times to usurp him but his cunning is hard to outmatch. He has an affinity to monocles, poison and rats.
Ghi'Nan Rhytyn
The only woman who led the armies of man, she is a renowned huntress. Her people continued governing the desert, but they have a much greater purpose in their eyes. The rules of the desert, the Tombking, is the shepherd of the dead souls leaving this world. If proper burial rites are ignored by a Tombking, plague and famine generally falls upon the Caluan Desert. A younger Tombking rules after he was spared by his mother, as it is custom for the first child to be sacrificed to the Moon god. Viumu Rhytyn has changed the customs of the desert quite a bit which has garnered the young adult praise and disdain from his subjects.
Adonis Oakhand
Adonis and Vandavar Silverstaff transcribed the very first spellbook, allowing those not touch by the pure essence magic to learn and use magic. Long thought dead after the Fogholt Plague, the Oakhand line resurfaced a few years ago. The Oakhand's are one of the most magically potent families in Galfin. They were able to sustain their spirits through a giant phylactery mounted on their throne room ceiling. The former Mountain King Deacon used his own life force to keep his people living in a limbo while the plague would have killed them all. After the phylactery was broken years later, the King died leaving his son, Deckard Oakhand to rule his resolute kingdom.
Oceanus Tempest
The suave Oceanus fought well in the war for freedom against the oppressive Onyx elves. His closest friend Vandavar SIlverstaff helped Oceanus tame the mighty storm that was Tempest's wife Sootha when she went mad and terraformed the islands of Pacura. Oceanus claimed these lands and was dubbed the Ocean King by his fellow men. He fought using the Imperious Trident, a powerful weapon that can bend elements and boost moral of his troops. The family was split for years because Oceanus gave equal rights to his kingdom his all 9 of his children. Recently Maximus Tempest married his distant cousin Kricia to be named the first Ocean King and Queen since the original.
