Merkaynian Branded

The Pit was created by Merkayne and Synapsid and Merkayne gave his power to provide a brand for the criminals inside the Pit. The brand burns out and disappears once a sentence is completed. If someone were to escape the Pit before their sentence is finished, the risk of being hunted by the Harrowers continues for the rest of the criminals life. The Brand glows bright green when a Harrowed is nearby. This allows the undead revenants confirmation of who their target is. Once Thormund destroyed the walls of the Pit, the seal holding the Harrowed to only hunt the escaped was gone, now they attack whoever their creator Vlox deems necessary.
