Mandrake was a wiry old farmer of 61 years, his face weathered and deeply etched by years of toil under the sun of the Gaulan Plains. A Gaulan of Vohkin descent, he carried the quiet weight of his family’s dark legacy—a generational pact forged with a demon called Killcrow. Known for his grim demeanour and unsettling isolation, Mandrake was a devout member of the Cult of the Harvest Star, a fringe sect that worshipped through sacrifice and destruction.
When local rivalries festered into bitter hatred, Mandrake summoned the malevolent Killcrow to devastate the farmlands of the Plain Dwarves, unleashing hellfire upon his enemies. But the strain of the summoning proved too much for his aging body; as the flames consumed their crops, Mandrake clutched his chest, collapsing in the dirt he had worked his entire life, his heart giving out.
