Ironrot
Ironrot is a gruesome and relentless disease, causing an afflicted wound to fester and decay at an alarming rate. The surrounding skin takes on a rusted, brownish hue, becoming hardened and crusted. The afflicted area is painfully sensitive to touch and movement, and the infection slowly spreads, devouring healthy flesh and bone alike. As the disease progresses, the wound emits a foul, metallic odor, and the once-steady hand of the afflicted shakes with feverish tremors. Those suffering from ironrot must endure excruciatingly painful treatments that involve the application of potent plant nectars mixed with oils lathered onto a moisture free wound. Even pigments and powders are used to dry out the area before the nectar is , as they battle to keep the infection at bay and hold onto their limbs, and ultimately, their lives.
