Hardwinter Clan

The Hardwinter Clan is a lineage of warriors, survivalists, and ice-hardened leaders who have ruled the province for generations. Their bloodline is as cold and unyielding as the tundra they call home, their legacy forged in the frostbitten crucible of war and hardship.
Long ago, when the Ice Dwarves first carved their holdfasts into the frozen cliffs of Harpa, it was Gormund Hardwinter who led them through the darkest blizzards, his hammer splitting stone and frost alike. He was said to have survived an entire winter alone in the Raugakuto Ice Caves, slaying a Shard Serpent and emerging with nothing but a frost-cracked beard and a new understanding of the land’s merciless will. From then on, the Hardwinters swore their blood to Harpa, vowing that no force—be it storm, beast, or invader—would ever drive them from their home.
Their fortress-city of Denlodir is as much a testament to their endurance as their name itself, its halls carved deep into the cliffs where the wind howls like a dying beast. The Hardwinter dwarves believe in strength through suffering, and among them, weakness is a crime. Each generation is tested in the tundra before they are considered true heirs of the bloodline, and only those who prove themselves against the cold are deemed worthy to rule.
Dren Hardwinter, the current Thane of Harpa, carries the weight of this legacy upon his shoulders. He knows that winter does not forgive, that the land does not care for those who hesitate. And so, he leads his people as his ancestors did—without fear, without mercy, and without ever bending to the cold.
